The Best of 2018

Updated: Dec 26, 2018

I took some time today to mull over my favorite books of 2018. It wasn't easy to pick some standouts, but I managed--and I even managed to separate them into categories for easy perusing. What are you waiting for? Get to downloading!

And don't forget to let me know if any of them hit the mark for you!

Paranormal Romance:

~An enthralling new standout in the fantasy romance genre. Full of magic, gladiators, and the age old family vs. family drama, this book will have you on the edge of your seat! Purchase link.

  • Resurgence by Sharonlee Holder

~Fans of Green mythology will adore this new spin on an old theme. Meet some never before gods and goddesses and enjoy the edge-of-your-seat action while being slapped in the face (metaphorically, of course) by hot guys. Purchase link.

Science Fiction:

~Out January 2019, this novel will rock your world. It's Star Trek meets Sherrilyn Kenyon with Amanda Bouchet's wicked writing talent, this story is packed full of sexy men, space ships, secretive booksellers, and adorable cats. Purchase link.

Historical:

  • Duke's Daughter series by Megan Frampton

~ If you love stories about strong women turning men's worlds upside down, then you'll adore this series. A whole family of daughters refusing to let strict historical rules dictate their love lives. It's perfection. Three books so far with another on the way! Purchase link.

  • Wicked and the Wallflower by Sarah MacLean

~A bastard son named Devil, a gambling den, and a revenge plot. This book has it all. Innocent Felicity Faircloth isn't about to let Devil teach her about passion and then walk away. She wants him, whatever it takes. Oof, that's hot. Purchase link.

  • Runaway Heiress by Syrie James

~ Hidden identity novels are my favorite! And there's nothing better than an American Heiress pretending to be a governess in an Earl's home. So many opportunities for sexy forbidden encounters. Purchase link.

Contemporary:

~Hilarious banter, delicious drama, and a hot ass, Tessa Bailey's Getaway Girl is a must-buy for anyone who can't resist some stella writing and disgustingly beautiful chemistry. Purchase link.

  • The One That Got Away series by Roni Loren

~Roni Loren takes the sensitive topic of school-shootings and spins a heart-wrenching tale of love, loss, and guilt. Three books in and more coming this series is unmatched in terms of story, character development, and chemistry. This is a must-read for those looking for something a little outside their usual reads (and who don't mind a few tears). Purchase link.

~This was one of the hottest reads of this year. Don't wear anything flammable because you'll be in danger of busting into flames with this novel. Insane chemistry, stalking and control fetishes, and the writing of two amazing authors. You absolutely cannot go wrong picking this up. Purchase link.

Dark/Taboo:

~Brianna Hale is one of the best things to come out of 2018 for this blogger. This daddy-dom novel involves age-gap romance and is out-of-control HOT. The writing is beyond captivating. You'll be panting out loud by the end of this beauty. Purchase link.

~This book needs about a thousand trigger warnings. It is quite possibly the darkest romance novel I've ever read. It is not for the faint of heart. The hero is dark, cruel, and beyond dangerous, but if that's your thing (it's definitely mine) then read away. Purchase link.

  • Midnight Hunter by Brianna Hale

~Midnight Hunter may be my favorite novel of 2018. A young woman attempting to flee East Germany and the secret police officer who captures her with the sole purpose of making her his, no matter how much she fights. It's perfection from start to finish with one of the hottest under-the-desk-blow-job scenes I've ever experienced. If you get only one book off this list, make it this one. Purchase link.

LGBT:

~A gender-fluid heroine masquerading as her deceased boss and a gorgeous marquess falling in love with her. This book will challenge your pre-conceived notions of what romance can look like. Purchase link.

  • It Takes Two to Tumble by Cat Sebastian

~Sebastian writes insanely good male/male romances set in historical times. If LGBT characters are your thing then you won't be disappointed with her incredible writing and fabulous characters. Purchase link.

Sports:

  • Virgin Territory by Lia Riley

~Hot, male, virgin athlete paired with amazing writing. Do I even have to say anything else? Purchase link.
